Will Callum Connor Make Guaylupo Find Another Gear?
Piero Guaylupo doesn’t hide what he enjoys. “I like to brawl” is the polite translation of how the 21-year-old Peruvian described himself before meeting Callum Connor. His record hardly required subtitles: 12-0, 11 knockouts.
But Connor presents an irritating question for a fighter accustomed to making opponents disappear. At 6-foot, the unbeaten Englishman gives away none of Guaylupo’s enthusiasm and brings three inches of additional height, longer combinations and a more varied finishing record.
Bookmaker Sportsbook‘s opening line makes Guaylupo -125 and Connor -105.
Guaylupo Wants Callum Connor Standing His Ground
Guaylupo has already told Connor not to arrive overconfident and promised to knock him out. Believe him.
Guaylupo loads his punches with ugly intentions, marches forward willingly and has stopped 11 professional opponents with strikes. He has also reached the fourth round and finished there, so treating him as a frantic first-round hunter misses part of the danger.
But aggression works beautifully when the opponent agrees to remain where the punches land. Callum Connor doesn’t owe him that agreement.

Connor Returns With More Than Height
Connor is 8-0 with five knockouts, one submission, and two decisions. More importantly, Tuesday is his second fight since knee surgery last year. His April return ended in a second-round TKO.
UFC describes Connor as a rangy lightweight, and that geometry matters here. Three-punch combinations, kicks, and a longer frame give him ways to interrupt Guaylupo before the Peruvian settles into punching range.

The Favorite Has Never Met This Question
Guaylupo’s violence is real. So is the jump.
Callum Connor trains at Manchester Top Team, home to DWCS graduates Ateba Gautier and Louis Lee Scott. He is older, taller, and has shown more variety in his finishing.
At -105, I’m betting that variety survives Guaylupo’s first argument.
Prediction: Callum Connor by decision.
Betting Analysis
Bookmaker Sportsbook‘s opening line leaves almost nothing between them.
That makes Connor’s price the interesting side. Guaylupo can make this brutally uncomfortable, but Connor has more ways to change the shape of the fight when forward pressure stops being enough.
Betting Lean
Callum Connor -105.
