The Wait Is Over: Ailin Perez Finally Gets Dumont
Ailin Perez has been asking for Norma Dumont since 2024. Two years later, the UFC has finally obliged. There is one small administrative problem with getting exactly what you asked for: eventually you have to fight it.
Perez enters on a six-fight win streak, and the Bookmaker Sportsbook opening line makes her a -135 favorite. Dumont arrives immediately after Joselyne Edwards ended her own six-fight streak.
The temptation is to declare the trajectories crossed. Dumont gets fifteen minutes to object.
Perez Wants Minutes That Dumont Protects
Perez’s UFC game is increasingly difficult to misunderstand. She averages 4.9 takedowns per 15 minutes and has spent considerably more of her fights controlling opponents than Dumont. Dumont, however, has defended roughly 72% of takedowns attempted against her.
That turns Perez’s favorite territory into Saturday’s argument. If Perez repeatedly gets Dumont underneath her, the favorite can dictate where enormous pieces of each round disappear.
If Dumont keeps separating, Perez gets something much less accommodating: a fighter landing 3.85 significant strikes per minute while absorbing only 2.33.

Dumont Has Fifteen Minutes Down Pat
Little mystery surrounds the total. Dumont has gone the distance in 11 consecutive UFC fights. Ailin Perez’s last two wins over Karol Rosa and Macy Chiasson also reached the scorecards. Linesmakers at Bookmaker Sportsbook noticed.
Over 2.5 rounds costs -525. Under 2.5 pays +400. Apparently, three judges have already been invited.

Minus 135 Prices Ailin Perez’s Persistence
Bookmaker Sportsbook opening line: Perez at -135 and Dumont at +115.
Perez’s six-fight streak explains favoritism. Her wrestling explains how she can justify it. But Dumont is not being asked to win a wrestling match. She is being asked to deny enough takedowns to create longer standing exchanges, where her volume and defense make +115 uncomfortable to dismiss.
Perez finally has the fight she wanted. At this price, Dumont can have my money.
Prediction: Norma Dumont by decision.
Betting Lean: Norma Dumont +115.
