Sabrinna de Sousa Has Never Lost. Taila Santos has already seen the other side of almost everything.
Sabrinna de Sousa has never lost a professional fight. Before that, she went 15-0 as an amateur. Taila Santos has spent most of a decade fighting women who were supposed to expose something.
That is what makes this PFL Tampa flyweight matchup worth far more than a glance at +120 and -150.
De Sousa enters at 6-0 and is ranked No. 8 in the division after beating Cheyanne Bowers by unanimous decision in May. Santos is 23-4, ranked No. 3, and returned from the first stoppage loss of her career by finishing Qihui Yan with a front kick to the body and punches in 2:02.
De Sousa has never had to learn from losing. Santos once came one scorecard from becoming UFC champion.
What Happens When De Sousa Cannot Win The First Position?
De Sousa’s résumé is unusual for a 25-year-old with only six professional fights. She began in capoeira, moved into Brazilian jiu-jitsu, then tore through the amateur scene before entering the professional ranks. Her three IMMAF titles and perfect amateur record gave her a much deeper competitive base than 6-0 normally suggests.
That experience shows in the way she handles transitions. De Sousa is comfortable moving from striking into clinch work, changing grips and attacking submissions when opponents create scrambles. She has one professional submission, but her amateur record was full of armbars, rear-naked chokes and even a kneebar.
Santos is bigger, longer, and vastly more experienced against high-level wrestling and grappling pressure. If she wins the initial underhook, turns de Sousa onto the fence, or forces her to work from bottom, the prospect suddenly has to solve a problem she has not yet seen professionally.

What Does 21-0 Look Like Against Someone Who Nearly Beat Shevchenko?
Santos’ career has included five UFC rounds with Valentina Shevchenko, fights with Erin Blanchfield and Liz Carmouche, and a PFL championship appearance against Dakota Ditcheva. She has been through fast fights, ugly fights, long fights, and fights where one mistake changed everything.
De Sousa has been excellent at staying composed for fifteen minutes, but Santos knows how to win messy minutes. She can clinch, attack takedowns, strike in short combinations, and maintain enough physical pressure to prevent easy resets.
Her win over Yan reminded everyone that the power hasn’t disappeared either. The body kick that began the finish landed before Yan could settle into the fight. Santos did not need volume. She needed one opening.
De Sousa Has Never Needed A Plan For Round 16
De Sousa’s last three PFL appearances have all gone the distance. She beat Saray Orozco unanimously, edged Paulina Wisniewska by split decision and then defeated Bowers 29-28 on all three official scorecards.
She is not an undefeated prospect built entirely on early finishes. She has already shown she can manage rounds, stay patient, and keep making decisions after the easy openings disappear.
Santos may still try to speed those decisions up. At 5-foot-6 with a 67.5-inch reach, she owns clear physical advantages over the 5-foot-3 de Sousa, whose PFL profile lists a 62-inch reach.
If Santos can keep de Sousa at the end of straight punches and kicks, the younger fighter may be forced to enter from farther away than she prefers.

Did Ditcheva Expose Santos Or Simply Prove How Good Ditcheva Is?
Santos’ 2024 loss to Dakota Ditcheva ended with body punches late in the second round. It was also the first stoppage defeat of Santos’ professional career.
Ditcheva is now the No. 1-ranked PFL flyweight and one of the division’s most dangerous strikers. Santos rebounded by stopping Yan in her next appearance rather than carrying the hesitation of that defeat into another fight.
The MMA/UFC Betting Hub and PFL Betting Guide are useful here because records without opponent context can distort the picture. De Sousa owns the perfect record. Santos owns the deeper evidence.
What Happens If De Sousa Loses A Round She Cannot Fix?
Undefeated records become heavier once the competition changes. De Sousa has never had to recover from a professional loss, but she has also never faced anyone with Santos’ combination of size, experience and positional depth.
That does not make the unbeaten record fragile. It makes this the first fight where we may discover what is underneath it.
If de Sousa loses the first round, does she speed up? If Santos stuffs the first takedown, does she force the second? If the range feels wrong, can she change the route without changing her composure?

Santos vs De Sousa Fight Prediction
De Sousa is technically good enough to make this competitive. Her grappling background, balance and willingness to fight through full rounds give her a real path if she can turn the match into repeated scrambles rather than a clean striking contest.
Santos has more reliable answers. Her reach, physical strength, experience against elite opposition and ability to mix striking with clinch work should allow her to decide where more of the fight takes place.
De Sousa may have success when the positions break. Santos is more likely to determine which positions appear first.
The technical prediction is Taila Santos by unanimous decision.
Betting Analysis
Bookmaker Sportsbook prices Santos at -150 and de Sousa at +120. The line is surprisingly tight given the gap in experience, but de Sousa’s unbeaten record and amateur pedigree justify respect.
The value question is whether those credentials translate immediately against a former UFC title challenger who is still only 33 and just produced a first-round finish.
Betting Lean
The lean is Taila Santos moneyline (-150).
De Sousa has enough skill to survive difficult stretches and enough grappling experience to avoid being overwhelmed.
Santos still owns the stronger route across fifteen minutes: longer weapons at range, more proven clinch work, and far more experience solving problems against elite opposition.
