Naurdiev Gets Marvin Vettori After the Break

Marvin Vettori has already spent one training camp preparing for Ismail Naurdiev. His rib didn’t survive it.

Vettori withdrew from their original June booking after an MRI confirmed a fracture suffered in training. Four months later, the same opponent is waiting in Salt Lake City.

Naurdiev arrives from the opposite direction: rebuilt after his UFC release, back inside the promotion and coming off a first-round knockout of Ryan Loder.

Bookmaker Sportsbook‘s opening line makes Naurdiev -129 and Vettori +105.

Marvin Vettori Rebuilt the Camp Twice

The broken rib interrupted more than a fight date. Vettori had moved from Florida to California specifically to reconnect with Beneil Dariush for the original camp. He said he had been feeling good before the injury stopped everything.

Now comes another preparation cycle after four consecutive defeats. Vettori remains an extraordinary durability problem. Across 30 professional fights, he has never been stopped.

That makes Naurdiev’s task less about discovering one enormous shot than repeatedly beating Vettori to the cleaner position.

Naurdiev Came Back With Different Rooms

Naurdiev’s reconstruction has been unusually broad. His recent training has included Kill Cliff FC in Florida, private camps in Morocco, and boxing work at Wild Card.

The wrestling base never disappeared: Naurdiev is a five-time Austrian national wrestling champion. What changed is the environment around it.

That matters against Vettori, whose southpaw pressure can turn technically prettier fights into long physical negotiations.

Marvin Vettori’s Chin Changes the Bet

Naurdiev just demonstrated the tempting alternative by stopping Loder in the opening round. Vettori is not Loder.

He has gone 25 minutes with Israel Adesanya, Jared Cannonier, and Roman Dolidze without being finished. Even his current four-fight losing streak consists entirely of decisions. That durability removes the easy version of the Naurdiev bet. It does not remove the bet.

At -129, I want the younger fighter with the cleaner recent trajectory, diversified camp and enough wrestling to prevent Vettori from deciding every positional argument.

Prediction: Ismail Naurdiev by unanimous decision.

Betting Analysis

Bookmaker Sportsbook‘s opening line offers Naurdiev -129.

Vettori’s durability keeps the margin uncomfortable. His four consecutive decision defeats also show that surviving elite minutes and winning them have become very different propositions.

Betting Lean

Ismail Naurdiev -129.
