Kurtis Campbell’s Second UFC Test Gets Rough
Trevor Peek has spent his UFC career making neat plans rather inconvenient. Kurtis Campbell, however, has a different reason to distrust disorder. His UFC debut against Danny Silva ended 31 seconds into the second round when Silva stopped him with strikes. Now Campbell faces a man whose entire offensive identity is built around turning exchanges into collisions.
The contrast is sharper than the records suggest. Peek has eight knockouts among nine professional wins and lands 4.39 significant strikes per minute, but absorbs 3.88 while defending only 44% of incoming significant strikes. Campbell arrives with five knockout wins, one submission and four first-round finishes from an 8-1 record. Neither man has built his résumé by politely waiting for the judges.
Can Kurtis Campbell Keep This Fight Clean?
Campbell has the more varied technical toolbox. His Muay Thai background started at seven years old; he holds a BJJ brown belt, and his UFC profile lists a 72-inch reach, two inches longer than Peek’s. That combination matters because Peek is most dangerous once conventional distance breaks down.
Peek throws from unusual positions, commits heavily to power, and is perfectly willing to continue punching through exchanges that would persuade saner people to reconsider their afternoon. His 89% knockout rate among victories explains why.
Campbell’s task is therefore not simply to outstrike him. It is to prevent Peek from converting technical exchanges into prolonged brawls. The longer Campbell can maintain range, change levels or make Peek reset after missing, the more his broader skill set should matter.

The UFC Debut Loss Changed The Question
Campbell’s UFC debut introduced the obvious concern. Danny Silva stopped him early in Round 2, so durability under UFC-level pressure remains less established than his impressive regional finishing record.
His own message entering Paris is forward-looking. In a UFC fight-week interview released this week, Campbell framed the moment as the point where his UFC career needs to “really kick off.”
Peek presents an awkward test of that reset because patience alone will not remove the danger. Campbell must make decisions as punches arrive from strange trajectories and conventional combinations are occasionally replaced by controlled bedlam.

Betting Analysis
Bookmaker Sportsbook opened Campbell at -370, with Peek at +296. The Over 1.5 rounds is -175, while the Under is +151.
Campbell deserves favoritism because he owns the cleaner technical pathways: longer reach, greater grappling versatility, and more disciplined striking mechanics. Yet -370 demands considerable confidence against an opponent whose power can erase technical advantages in one exchange.
The Over is also interesting because Peek’s reputation is more violent than his recent UFC results. Three of his four most recent UFC appearances reached the scorecards, although his inactivity since September 2024 adds uncertainty that statistics cannot neatly solve.

Betting Lean
Kurtis Campbell -370, with Campbell by decision as the technical fight prediction.
Campbell should have enough range, movement, and grappling variety to deny Peek the sustained pocket exchanges he needs. The matchup-specific risk is obvious: Campbell was stopped in his UFC debut, and Peek possesses exactly the kind of ugly, concussive power capable of reopening that question instantly.
