Jauregui Has Already Won This Fight. Apparently.
Yazmin Jauregui has not fought since September 2024. She returns more than two years later as a -900 favorite. That price says Vanessa Demopoulos is barely expected to participate.
The statistical case for Jauregui is savage: she lands 6.64 significant strikes per minute against Demopoulos’ 3.37, owns seven knockout victories, and carries a five-inch reach advantage. Demopoulos absorbs 5.39 significant strikes per minute while defending only 41%.
Bookmaker Sportsbook‘s opening line makes Yazmin Jauregui -900 and Vanessa Demopoulos +614, with Over 2.5 rounds -220 and Under 2.5 +184.
Demopoulos Has Never Given Anyone That
Jauregui’s striking volume explains the favorite. It does not automatically explain a finish. Demopoulos is 11-8, and none of those eight professional defeats came by knockout. Seven went to the judges. The exception was Jaqueline Amorim’s first-round armbar.
That is awkward evidence for a fight priced as though Jauregui could remove her. Jauregui has power, but her UFC sample has produced one knockout across five appearances. Her official UFC record currently stands at 11-2 overall, with seven career knockout victories.

Two Years Disappear Inside -900
The price also asks bettors to treat Jauregui’s inactivity as administrative trivia. Her last appearance came against Ketlen Souza on September 14, 2024. Demopoulos has been absent since June 2025. Both therefore enter with meaningful layoffs, but Jauregui’s is considerably longer.
I found no reliable current fight-week reporting establishing an injury, restriction or specific reason for Jauregui’s absence. There is, however, a difference between believing Jauregui remains the better fighter and pretending -900 leaves something attractive to buy.

Fifteen Minutes Insults the Favorite
Demopoulos’ path to an upset is narrow. Jauregui owns the cleaner boxing, higher output, longer reach and better striking defense. Demopoulos’ 26% takedown defense hardly suggests an obvious secondary advantage either.
But the total asks a different question. Can a woman who has never been knocked out professionally survive 12½ minutes against a fighter returning after more than two years away?
At -220, I’d rather buy Demopoulos’ durability than Jauregui’s aura.
Prediction: Yazmin Jauregui by unanimous decision.
Betting Lean: Over 2.5 rounds -220.
