Hugo Guillon Gives Hernandez Six Extra Inches
Luis Hernandez has never required judges to explain his work. Seven professional fights have produced seven finishes, split between three knockouts and four submissions.
Hugo Guillon presents an unfamiliar piece of geometry. The 6-foot-4 Frenchman stands six inches taller than Hernandez, has finished six of seven victories and arrives on a six-fight winning streak.
Bookmaker Sportsbook‘s opening line has Guillon at -180 and Hernandez +155. My prediction is Hernandez by second-round submission, with Hernandez +155 the betting lean.
Hugo Guillon’s Height Comes With Doors
Guillon’s length should matter most before Hernandez establishes contact. Five of Guillon’s seven victories have ended in the opening round, and his ability to attack from range gives Hernandez more distance to cross than usual. Hugo Guillon also has a judo background and has trained at CIT in South Africa, where he worked as a sparring partner for Dricus Du Plessis.
That makes him considerably more interesting than a tall striker waiting to be tackled. But height creates grappling opportunities too. Hernandez has repeatedly turned forward pressure into access to the neck and back, with three rear-naked chokes or guillotine finishes among his professional victories.
Six-foot-four is useful. It is also rather a lot of middleweight to reorganize when somebody gets behind you.

Hernandez Has Never Needed Fifteen Minutes
Hernandez’s 7-0 record contains no decisions. His latest fight against Paulo Machado finally carried him into the third round before knees and punches produced the stoppage. Before that, Miles Hunsinger lasted 49 seconds into Round 2; Joaquin Campos lasted 2:52.
That history creates the central question on Tuesday. Guillon has demonstrated that he can survive deeper, winning a decision and scoring a third-round submission during his current streak. Hernandez has shown destructive efficiency, but far less evidence exists of how his pressure looks when Guillon’s length repeatedly forces him to rebuild entries.

The Favorite Still Owns One Scar
Hugo Guillon’s only professional defeat remains revealing without defining him. Jacky Jeanne stopped him in the first round in 2022. Guillon has since won six straight, including consecutive first-round stoppages in his two most recent appearances.
Hernandez therefore faces a more developed version than the fighter who suffered that loss.
Yet Hernandez’s versatility complicates the -180 price. He can hurt opponents during exchanges, force reactions with pressure and convert those reactions into submissions. Against a much taller opponent, that ability to change the terms of the fight may matter more than winning clean minutes at distance.
Betting Analysis
Hugo Guillon’s size and finishing power justify favoritism, but -180 asks his defensive grappling to survive an undefeated opponent who has finished four professional fights by submission and has never required a decision.
Hernandez offers the more attractive side of that equation.
Betting Lean
Luis Hernandez +155.
Prediction: Luis Hernandez by second-round submission.
