Every Zouad Shortcut Runs Into Omar Hussein
Abdelkrim Zouad usually keeps the judges out of the conversation. Seven of his eight victories have ended inside the distance: three by knockout and four by submission. Omar Hussein presents the awkward counterpoint. Across 19 professional fights, nobody has stopped him with strikes.
Bookmaker Sportsbook‘s opening line makes Zouad -220 and Hussein +172.
Omar Hussein Has Already Survived Both Roads
Zouad’s finishing threat isn’t confined to one phase. His July PFL debut ended with a second-round submission of Wissame Akhmouch. Before that, his victories included both knockouts and submissions, leaving Omar Hussein no obvious phase where simply reaching safety solves the matchup.
Hussein nevertheless brings the deeper professional résumé at 12-7, with three knockout wins, four submissions and five decisions. His seven defeats split between four decisions and three submissions.
That durability is what makes the favorite work for his price.

Zouad Can Keep Changing the Question
Hussein stands 6-foot-1 with a 73-inch reach, while PFL lists Zouad at 5-foot-10. Hussein therefore brings a clear height advantage and the longer documented reach.
But distance isn’t Zouad’s only argument. His eight victories include finishes by punches, rear-naked choke, face crank, Brabo choke, and Kimura. Hussein has been submitted three times professionally, including a rear-naked choke loss in PFL competition.

The Favorite Has Fifteen Minutes
This is where -220 becomes defensible without requiring another Zouad finish. Omar Hussein’s durability can extend the fight without reversing its mechanics. Zouad can threaten the neck when exchanges collapse inward, punish transitions, and still carry proven finishing danger on the feet.
Hussein’s route to the upset looks longer because surviving one threat merely introduces another.
Prediction: Abdelkrim Zouad by decision.
Betting Lean: Abdelkrim Zouad -220.
