DWCS: Five Fights, Five UFC Auditions
The Dana White Contender Series doesn’t really reward survival. Week 4 brings five fights to the Meta APEX on Tuesday, with ten fighters trying to turn one performance into a UFC contract. Bookmaker Sportsbook makes Adam Darby the card’s biggest favorite at -402, while Brandon Holmes, Liam McCracken, Charlie Cleveland and Adam Livingston are favored in the other four bouts.
The interesting part is how differently each man has to make his case in tonight’s DWCS.
Can Rivera Make Experience Look Valuable?
Adam Darby (-402) vs Patrick Rivera (+293)
Darby is 7-1, riding six straight wins, and has finished six of his seven victories. The 6-foot-3 Irish welterweight believes his height, reach, and pressure can overwhelm Rivera. His latest win lasted 82 seconds, ending with a ninja choke against Thiago Habib at Cage Warriors 200.
Rivera presents almost the opposite résumé. At 34, the 13-4 former kickboxing world champion and professional boxer has 10 finishes and far more professional rounds behind him. He describes his approach as calculated and tactical rather than opponent-specific.
Darby’s length and pressure should force Rivera to make decisions faster than he prefers. Rivera’s experience makes the opening exchanges interesting; Darby’s ability to finish from both striking and grappling positions makes maintaining that control harder.
Prediction: Adam Darby by second-round submission.

Holmes Has Already Seen This Room
Modestino Rodrigues (+143) vs Brandon Holmes (-180)
Holmes’ first DWCS appearance lasted 2:58 before Cam Rowston stopped him. He returned in January and knocked out Preston LaGrange in the first round.
Now comes Rodrigues, and subtlety has not featured prominently in his résumé.
The 22-year-old Brazilian is 7-1 with seven knockout victories. Originally a jiu-jitsu practitioner, he has developed into an aggressive striker and spent part of the last year competing in K-1. UFC notes that he has faced limited experienced opposition, making Holmes a significant jump in examination.
The bookies expect violence: Under 1.5 rounds is -396.
Holmes has already learned what an over-eager start can cost inside this building. Rodrigues has never won a professional fight by decision.
Prediction: Brandon Holmes by first-round TKO.

McCracken Survived Something Much Bigger
Silvestre Sanchez (+114) vs Liam McCracken (-143)
McCracken’s 8-1 record is impressive. The route back to it is extraordinary.
In 2023, he was struck and dragged by a bus while running, suffering four fractured vertebrae, a fractured pelvis, broken legs, neck injuries and other serious damage. He eventually returned in September 2025. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt now has five knockout wins and three submissions.
Sanchez offers no gentle continuation. The Mexican lightweight is 9-1 and has won five straight, all by stoppage. Five of his nine professional victories have come by submission, while his latest ended by knockout in 18 seconds.
This may be the card’s most balanced fight because neither man needs one particular phase to win.
Prediction: Liam McCracken by second-round TKO.

Cleveland Finally Gets Another Heavyweight
Charlie Cleveland (-217) vs Gabriel Lourenço (+170)
Cleveland played defensive end at Division II Tiffin University before switching to MMA. He is now 6-1, has won four straight, and most recently knocked out The Ultimate Fighter veteran Nyle Bartling.
Lourenço is 7-1 after losing his professional debut and winning seven consecutively. Five victories have come by knockout and another by submission. His foundation is kickboxing, but he says he’s comfortable taking the fight to the ground.
The official weigh-in sharpened the physical contrast: Cleveland weighed 245.5 pounds, Lourenço 229.5.
Bookmaker Sportsbook makes Under 1.5 rounds -354. With nine combined knockout wins and Cleveland carrying the heavier frame, prolonged reconnaissance would qualify as the evening’s first surprise.
Prediction: Charlie Cleveland by first-round TKO.

Livingston Gets To Rewrite Last Year
Adam Livingston (-178) vs Hunter Smith (+141)
Livingston already knows what it feels like to leave the APEX without a contract.
He entered last year’s DWCS appearance 6-0 but had received the opportunity only five weeks earlier while weighing around 190 pounds. He was submitted by Tommy Gantt. Livingston says the experience taught him to remain ready and manage his weight properly.
He returned in May with an altogether louder answer: a spinning-back-elbow knockout of Kyle Pufahl. Five of Livingston’s seven wins are knockouts.
Smith is 8-1 and has won four straight. His only professional defeat has already been avenged, with Smith stopping Ryan Leininger in the first round of their March rematch. He completed this camp at Syndicate MMA in Las Vegas, removing travel and acclimatization from the equation.
Livingston stands 6-foot-2 at lightweight; Smith is listed at 5-foot-9. That length becomes especially interesting once Smith starts trying to collapse the pocket.
Prediction: Adam Livingston by second-round TKO.
Dana White’s Contender Series Betting Analysis
The MMA/UFC Betting Hub and MMA Betting Guide provide the broader framework for a card where short prices and tiny professional samples warrant caution.
Bookmaker Sportsbook’s strongest statement is Rodrigues-Holmes Under 1.5 at -396, followed by Cleveland-Lourenço Under 1.5 at -354.
DWCS Betting Lean
The most interesting standalone position is Adam Livingston -178.
Unlike several prospects making their first walk into the DWCS environment, Livingston has already experienced the peculiar pressure of fighting for a contract. His 6-foot-2 lightweight frame, finishing ability, and full preparation cycle make the second attempt materially different from the first.
