Damian Pinas Has No Interest In Minutes
Damian Pinas has clarified what he intends to do with Andrey Pulyaev. “I want to KO that guy,” Pinas told UFC Unfiltered ahead of UFC 332.
That sounds less like promotional theatre when you attach it to a 10-1 middleweight with nine knockouts and eight first-round finishes. Pulyaev brings considerably more UFC experience. Damian Pinas brings the kind of opening violence that can make experience irrelevant before it has time to matter. UFC statistics show Pinas landing 6.33 significant strikes per minute with a 6.67 knockdown average per 15 minutes.
Bookmaker Sportsbook‘s opening line: Pulyaev +362, Pinas -500; Over 1.5 (+102), Under 1.5 (-125). Prediction: Pinas by first-round KO/TKO. Betting lean: Under 1.5 rounds (-125).
Pederneiras Has Held Harder Pads
Andre Pederneiras has coached elite fighters for more than three decades. His assessment of Damian Pinas is therefore difficult to dismiss as ordinary cornerman enthusiasm.
“I’ve held pads for a lot of heavyweights, including elite strikers, and I’ve never seen anyone hit as hard as he does,” the Nova União coach said after Pinas’ latest UFC appearance. He also praised how quickly the 24-year-old absorbs instruction.
Damian Pinas completed this camp in Las Vegas under Pederneiras and Joziro Boyé, specifically preparing for Pulyaev.

Pulyaev Usually Gets More Time
Pulyaev presents a useful contrast. UFC lists him at 3.60 significant strikes landed and only 2.94 absorbed per minute, with 55% significant-strike defense. His average UFC fight time is 11:06.
That is the attractive argument behind +362: survive Pinas’ first acceleration and drag an explosive favorite somewhere less familiar.
Pinas has never reached a professional decision. His longest professional fight lasted 9:20.

Minus 125 Buys The Collision
The -500 moneyline charges an enormous premium for Pinas’ power. Under 1.5 asks a cleaner question.
Pulyaev owns six knockout victories himself, so extending exchanges with Pinas is hardly his only offensive route. Yet Pinas’ UFC opponents have absorbed 57 significant strikes from only 90 attempts, while his takedown defense sits at 86%.
One man says he is hunting the knockout. The other is being paid +362 to survive the hunt.
Prediction: Damian Pinas by first-round KO/TKO.
Betting lean: Under 1.5 rounds (-125).
