Bryce Jamison Gets His First Full Week
Bryce Jamison arrived in Colorado Springs and was almost immediately asked to play. Saturday in Lexington is different.
The 20-year-old winger has now completed his first full training week with the Switchbacks, and coach Alan McCann was unusually direct about what he saw.
“Yesterday, he was a standout,” McCann said this week. “Today, very, very good again. His ceiling’s very high.”
Colorado Springs needs some of that ceiling now. They enter three points behind Lexington and outside the Western Conference playoff positions.
McCann Is Waiting for “When”
Jamison assisted Adrien Pérez on his Switchbacks debut at Phoenix and registered three shots against El Paso three days later.
McCann’s assessment after a full week together went further. “We’ve all seen Bryce Jamison score goals in this league,” he said. “It’s not a question of can he do it or not, it’s a question of timing for me. It’s now, when does it come.”
Saturday is the first time Colorado Springs can approach a match with Jamison integrated through a normal training cycle rather than introduced on the fly.
That matters because the Switchbacks’ attacking numbers have recently fallen far short of their season numbers. They have 32 league goals, the second-most in the Western Conference, but only four across their last five matches.

Eleven Goals Are Waiting Beside Him
Khori Bennett already has 11 goals, tied for second in the Championship. Adrien Pérez leads Colorado Springs with 46 chances created and has scored in two of his last three appearances.
Jamison does not arrive needing to become the attack. He arrives alongside its two most productive pieces.
That gives Lexington a different Colorado Springs front line than the one suggested by a 1-4-0 recent record. Bennett occupies defenders centrally, Pérez supplies chances, and Jamison now brings another direct threat after a week spent learning McCann’s structure.
The Soccer Betting Hub and Soccer Betting Guide are useful here because the standings have compressed the Western Conference into something resembling an elevator with faulty buttons. Only six points separate third from ninth.
Four Home Wins Face Something New
Lexington has won four consecutive home matches by a combined 8-2. They also enter 7-3-1 over their last 11 games, with Aaron Molloy central to that improvement. The July Player of the Month has four goals and five assists in league play and remains Lexington’s principal distributor.
Colorado Springs therefore arrive at one of the harder places in the conference to reverse a slump.
Their injury picture has not fully cleared either. Patrick Burner remains approximately two weeks from returning, while Yosuke Hanya and Isaiah Foster are not expected back until later in September.
Jamison’s emergence is essential, not optional.

Three Points Separate Saturday’s Sides
Bookmaker Sportsbook lists Lexington at +121, Colorado Springs at +205 and the draw at +260.
Lexington -0.5 is +117, while Colorado Springs +0.5 is -151. The total sits at 2.5 goals, with the over at -125 and the under at -102.
Lexington’s home form deserves respect, but +121 is not an extravagant price for a side that has won four straight there.
Colorado Springs has enough attacking pedigree to make the matchup uncomfortable, particularly if Jamison’s first full week translates quickly. Lexington still brings the more reliable current evidence.
Prediction: Lexington SC 2-1 Colorado Springs Switchbacks
Betting Lean: Lexington SC Moneyline (+121)
